National Vodafone Arena
A multi-purpose sports facility built along Laucala Bay in Suva, specifically for the South Pacific Games in 2003. The arena can cater for 5000 people with 2 canteens available (run by the Fiji Sports Council) and houses three competition size basketball courts with sprung timber flooring identical to that used for the Sydney Olympics. Various sporting events are catered for within the complex including basketball, volleyball, netball, indoor soccer, and badminton. Events like musical concerts, stage shows, wedding receptions, etc are also common.
The canteens are always open with every event that’s staged at the arena, and close at general closing time of these events. Alcohol in not sold, but the sale of alcoholic beverages is allowed, according to prior arrangements with the council. Private use of the complex can be arranged through Fiji Sports Council.
Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park
The Park on the outskirts of Nausori Town in Suva comes under the jurisdiction of the Nausori Town Council. Vodafone has naming rights but general maintenance and upgrade is handled by the Council.Weekly sporting activities and events are common with tickets sold at the gates at different prices, according to the extent of the event and its promotion.
Canteen is also available. Alcohol is not sold and not permitted into the park area.
Tattersalls Leisure Centre (TLC)
Previously the National Gymnasium, the TLC can cater for 3000 people on the allocated seats and on the floor. Snacks and cold drinks are available at the canteen. No alcohol is sold.Various activities and events have been hosted for in the Centre, including sports (netball, volleyball, basketball, karate,etc) and musical concerts and stage shows as well.
For private use of the Centre, call Josese at the Fiji Sports Council and a quotation can be provided for you.
The National Aquatic Centre
Features a 50meter competition pool and a 25meter warm up pool fully lit at night-training.
National Hockey Centre (Turf)
Has the facility to seat up to 500 spectators and features a water base synthetic pitch, which is the finest playing surface available.
Features: Though the ground has no sitting facility, tents and awnings are often erected by the Fiji Sports Council on request.
Thomson Park
Location: Navua
Details: The park located in Navua an unincorporated town; with the Fiji Sports Council looking after its maintenance holds 2 grounds. The ground is quite popular to secondary schools holding athletics, soccer, and rugby meets during the school year as well as club games. Booking for the grounds can be made directly to the Fiji Sports Council on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Ra Sport Ground
Location: Rakiraki
Details: Features one main ground and two courts (netball and volleyball).
Lawaqa Park
Location: Sigatoka
Features: Lawaqa Park (capacity 12,000) is a sports ground located in Sigatoka. Lawaqa Park is a home ground for Coastal Stallions
Buckhurst Park
Location: Laucala Bay, Suva
Features: Though the ground has no sitting facility, tents and awnings are often erected by the Fiji Sports Council on request.
Albert Park
Location: Suva
Features: Albert Park can hold two rugby matches at one time. There’s also a hockey pitch located in the middle of the ground with a grandstand and a cafeteria. The annual hibiscus festival is also held here.
Churchill Park
Location: Lautoka (Sugar City)
Features: Churchill Park is a home ground for Western Crusaders. Located right in the heart of the city, it offers 3 sitting grandstands a canteen and is close to local amenities.
Post Fiji Stadium
Location: Laucala Bay, Suva
Features: Sitting capacity of 20,000. It was previously called National Stadium. Also home to a lot of international matches with the latest game the Samoans taking on the Fijians. There’s also two canteens run by the Fiji Sports Council and beer parlour during international matches.
Prince Charles Park
Location: Nadi Town
Details: Located in the heart of the Jet Set Town, Prince Charles Park has sitting capacity of 10,000. This is probably the only park in Fiji that is below sea-level, since a good part of Nadi town is also below sea-level. Grandstands are on either sides of the park, with bus station in close proximity and local amenities.
Govind Park
Location: Ba
Home ground for Ba team also known as the Man in Black.Govind Park is a multi-use stadium. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 13,500 people. Ba Town Council leased the park to Fiji Football Association which looks after the maintenance. Beer parlors are erected only during Battle of the Giants Tournament. changing amenities within the park premises.
Subrail Park
Details: Labasa
Subrail Park is a rugby union ground in Labasa on the island of Vanua Levu. It currently hosts rugby union matches such as the Colonial Cup and the Sanyo Cup and local soccer competitions with a sitting capacity of 10,000 people.
Garvey Park
Location: Tavua
It is currently used mostly for football and also for Colonial Cup and Sanyo Cup matches and hosts the home matches of Tavua Soccer team and the Bligh Roosters.
Garvey Park is maintained by the Tavua Town Council. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited. Garvey Park can be hired for sporting activities, shows, carnivals and religious gathering.
Nasinu Park
Location: Nasinu
Details: Nasinu Park is managed by the Nasinu Town Council and can be used for sporting activities, shows, carnivals and religious gathering and has a sitting capacity of 1000 people. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited at all times.
Nasau Park
Location: Levuka
Located in the old capital of Fiji; Nasau Park has a sitting capacity of 500 with 150 seats on the pavilion. It is managed and maintained by the Levuka Town Council. Changing amenities provided. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
Ganilau Park
Location: Savusavu, Vanua Levu
Ganilau Park is managed and maintained by the Savusavu Town council with a pavilion sitting capacity of 120. Changing amenities provided. Consumption of alcohol is prohibited
Theodore Park
Location: Vatukoula
It is managed by the Vatukoula Rugby Union. The ground currently hosts local rugby matches.
Wairiki Grounds
Location: Rabi
Located in the north tip of Vanua Levu.
