Fiji makes some great clothing! You’d be surprised if you knew who we manufacture for. The next time you’re abroad, check the tags on the clothing in shops and be very very proud! From "Bula shirts" to swimwear these items are sold both locally and abroad. Remember, some artwork is also Fijian owned, so yes, some of it might be a little pricey but keep in mind that they’re the genuine article.
In as far as clothing goes, Jack’s Handicrafts and Sogos in downtown Suva & Nadi are some of the best places to check out. You’ll also find well known brands like Nike, Adidas, Oakley and Calvin Klein, just to name a few, at Duty Free stores like and Prouds and Tappoos. Surf and sports brands are among the most popular with the locals and on par with similar international brands. Wai Tui, Viti Surf Legend, Jack’s, Sports World, JR White and Ba Motorparts are the places you need to visit if this is what you’re looking for.
Alternatively, you could have things custom made for you quite easily and within good time. Local tailors and seamstresses are pretty good and fairly inexpensive. The quickest way would be to bring something the tailor can copy along with your new fabric and away they go!
