A unique and almost-unspoilt environment like that of Fiji’s, makes the ideal breeding zone for beautiful flora and fauna.

A variety of species of both environmental features are numerous, satisfying just about all a nature lover seeks. There’s always a special discovery to be made, as Fiji is home to quite a few endemic organisms. Best examples are the seasonal ‘tagimoucia’ flower, found only on the island of Taveuni, in the province of Cakaudrove, northern Fiji or the ‘vokai’ (crested iguana) found only in the Bua Province on the smaller of Fiji’s 2 main islands i.e Vanua Levu.
Fiji’s fauna is made up of native mammals like rats and bats, cattle, dogs, goats, horses, and sheep, plus about 74 species of birds, which include sea birds, owls and parrots. Also common are lizards and snakes.
With over 300 islands to be explored, one can only wonder what there is, that is left to be discovered. Makes an interesting topic for your next tour.
