Fiji Fashion Week is a concept similar to "fashion weeks" across the globe in Paris, Milan, London, New York, Sydney and Auckland. It is a weeklong event that will enable Fiji fashion designers and brands to show their latest collections to the press, buyers and a discerning local audience. FFW, scheduled for the first week of December, will comprise of a two-day workshop for emerging designers, two nights of fashion shows and an exhibition day showcasing designs from both emerging and established Fiji brands and designers. Major retail buyers, stylists, established international fashion designers and fashion media will conduct the master workshop classes. Registration fees for an emerging designer is $250 and $500 for an established brand/designer. This fee covers participation in Fiji Fashion Week. Tickets are $65 Runway Presentation by 12 established designers, presenting a 12-look collection on the ramp, LIVE music and performance breaks, plus after party. $75 tickets for the same offer presented by emerging designers. Some proceeds from Fiji Fashion Week will be donated the Rescue Mission Community Association (RMCA), a charitable organisation providing a dedicated space to nuture and support disadvantaged young people.
