Accommodation

Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of our world...

Situated on the meandering Qara ni Qio river, and just a 10 minutes stroll from a beautiful white, sandy beach, the Hot Stones Villas are private places.

Accommodating up to 10 people (1 x 3-bedroom villa and 1 x 2-bedroom villa each with their own private swimming pool), they are designed as an exclusive retreat, with five star service and very personal touches. Staffers Naomi and Mereani make visitors feel special.

Cathedral ceilings reach up to our South Pacific sky while walls of glass open out to tropical gardens and azure blue pools. Large Hinuera stone pavers and timber floors, give a grand sense of scale. Tactile soft furnishings and a soothing pallet of colours make for an effortless and relaxed style. Brick walls encase the open air bathrooms and the air-conditioned rooms are comfortably decorated, featuring four poster and sleigh beds.

Conveniently positioned, Hot Stones offers the best of both worlds, combining villa style accommodation with luxury hotel services. These include a resident chef, daily housekeeping, valet laundry and nanny services. Ideal for families and couples travelling together, Hot Stones Villas are the perfect place to relax and unwind - whether you're on a family holiday or a romantic weekend getaway.

Dining

Your personal chef !
The name Hot Stones traces back to the 1800's when Fijian warriors, adorned in brilliant reds and saffron yellows, did battle. The two paramount chiefs of the time, heads of the dominant Bau and Rewa families, were renowned as the two 'Hot Stones' of Fiji... because their cannibal ovens were seldom cool.

These days, in a contemporary twist on an old story, we endeavour to keep our oven 'seldom cool' - whether preparing an intimate dinner for two or a feast for sixteen, Resident Chef Melvan and the Hot Stones kitchen can cater to your tastes.

Melvan serve a complimentary breakfast and hors d'oeuvres daily, and with him on hand, food becomes fun. Browse through recipe books and choose a new dish for him to create, request an old favourite, or let him suprise you with some of his repertoire - Char grilled calamari and prawns with roasted red onions; Butter flied lamb on white-bean puree with slow roasted tomatoes; Pacific coconut chilli crabs; or perhaps a warm Avocado grapefruit and scallop salad.

For dessert, a delicious Mascarpone mousse with bananas and peanut brittle or a refreshing Pineapple sorbet with honeydew melon.

With personal chefs comes considerate, individual service - an unexpected mango slushy as you lie by the pool, a hearty picnic lunch prepared for your day island hopping, your game-fishing conquest sliced up for an alfresco dinner under a clear night sky.

Activities

Waking up at Hot Stones puts you a shell’s throw away from the action - south east Viti Levu is the adventure capital of Fiji. There’s a wonderful beach that stretches for miles just a 10 minute stroll from Hot Stones with access through the Pearl Resort.
Scuba dive amongst sharks and hand feed them yourself; conquer the surf at Frigates, tag a marlin, reel in a walu dinner and explore the Beqa Lagoon marine sanctuary.

Back on land, golf 'The Greens' at the 18 hole Junior Robert Trent Jones course, or delve into the lush interior of Viti Levu - a thriving rainforest complete with waterfalls.

Brave the white water rapids, rock-climbing, or for a more peaceful afternoon, travel by punt up Navua River.

Spend the morning at Suva Museum hearing of Fiji's infamous warriors, and the evening in a nearby village feasting on a traditional lovo dinner.
Hear laughter as women arrange their produce at bustling Navua market, take time to sample juicy tropical fruits, haggle over fresh seafood and travel up the river by longboat. Dance the meke, beat a lali and swipe some kava. Visit the Arts Village and get to know more about our Fijian culture and dance. Or scour Suva for bargains, engaging a 'barrow boy' to assist you with your wares - woven baskets, bright fabrics and wooden artefacts.

At Hot Stones you can explore authentic island living, past the frangipani leis and into the villages.
