Daku Resort
Savusavu is nicknamed the Hidden Paradise. This should give you an idea of what to expect from your travel experience in this northern parts of Fiji. There are jagged tropical mountains, raging rivers, clear waterfalls, and more unique features. Savusavu is not overrun or overdone, but it has all the amenities you might want or need while you're here. Come. Relax. Stay.
Location
Savusavu is located on Fiji s second largest island, Vanua Levu. It s a 50 minute scenic flight from Nadi. You ll land on a beautiful little airstrip by the sea. Town is about a 2 minute taxi ride to Daku Resort.
Accommodation
If you dont want to spend thousands of dollars on overpriced accommodation, but you dont want a twelve bed backpacker party dorm either, then Daku is for you. In Fiji we re a one of a kind upscale budget resort where you'll have an ocean view from your own bure.
We have a variety of accommodation to suit all travelers needs. There are just six Fijian style bures, a family villa, a self-contained cottage, a pool house and a beach house, set naturally in beautiful tropical fruit and flower gardens with spectacular views of Savusavu Bay and lush tropical mountains. Savusavu town is a 20 minute walk away. We are a small, low-key, casual retreat. People say it s like having a vacation home where you come to unwind. No one is breathing down your neck or watching your every move.
All units include private shower and toilet, and all are equipped with overhead fans, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities.
RATES
Our rates are per unit, NOT per person and include tax.
OCEAN VIEW BURE- one bedroom with bath. $130 FJD
DOUBLE BURE - two bedrooms with bath. $140 FJD
THE COTTAGE- 2 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen, lounge, deck. $170 FJD
THE POOL HOUSE- 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, lounge, verandah $200 FJD
THE VILLA- 2 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, verandah. $220 FJD
THE BEACH HOUSE- 3 bedrooms, 1 h, living room, kitchen, large deck. $225 FJD
Many people consider it their home away from home and enjoy the idea of living in Fiji for a while, as Savusavu is the perfect place to settle in.
Dining
Breakfast is available from m. You can choose from a tropical (F$8) or cooked (F$12) breakfast.
Snacks, lunch & dinner are available all day, ranging from FJ$5.00-$15.
Also there are a number of small inexpensive restaurants and cafes in town with seafood, steak, curry, Chinese and pizza just minutes away. Order takeaway, picnic at the beach or grill your own fresh fish here. Its your call.
We have a Meal Plan available - F$25 per person per day for a tropical or cooked breakfast, a light lunch (sandwiches or meat pie and salad) & dinner.
Activities
Activities are available of course, but you are free to DO NOTHING. Hang out at the pool, write your novel in the lounge, walk into town for a seafood pizza at the yacht club, lay on your bed and read books.
No Pressure. No Schedules. No Club Med.
Diving
Vanua Levu is all about diving. Go with Extended Horizon Adventures or Koro Sun Dive and enjoy world class diving. The more you save on accommodation, the more dives you can do, eat more food and have more fun. Dive or snorkel some of the world s best reefs right out front!
OTHER ACTIVITIES To Do or Not Do Sailing, sport/game fishing, reef walking, and waterfall/bush hikes, mountain biking, village tours, tennis/golf nearby.
Weddings
Finally an affordable Fiji wedding! A perfect, intimate garden/ocean setting for your wedding and or reception. Ideal accommodation for family and friends. And yes, you can rent the entire resort!
Groups & Conferences
Daku is ideal for groups- business, educational, volunteer, etc... The spacious open lounge, patio and pool area is perfect for hosting meetings, parties, and group dining. There is a large bar and spit roasting pit/barbecue available as well.
Our staff is small our smiles are large. We are always available, but we re not in your face. You come, you stay, and you do what you want. At Daku, you call the shots.
