Bayside Resort
On your trip to the Yasawas, you will need to stop by at Waya. Here you are bound to experience beautiful beachfront accommodation at Bayside Resort. Set in a private beach overlooking the stunning mountain ridge above Yalobi Village, this traditional resort has two bures ensuring a peaceful holiday away from commercial tourism.
Location
You can get to Bayside on fast catamaran which departs every day at 8.30am from Denarau Marina in Nadi. This reaches Yalobi Bay at around 11am and our small boat will meet you off the Flyer to transfer you to Bayside Resort which takes about one minute.
Accommodation
Bures- Two traditional thatch bures built in the style of a Fijian house only a few steps from the beach with a beachside hammock is provided for each bure. The two bures are built on individual rock foundations raised slightly from the ground. The bathroom sits between the bure giving easy access from each. The bathroom has an outside sink and a separate flush toilet and cold water shower.
Dining
Meals are included in our accommodation prices. Home baked pancakes and fruit for breakfast. We serve a light lunch and a fresh dinner, and can provide vegetarian meals on prior request. Water comes from our natural spring which is fed high up in the hills of Waya.
Activities
Snorkeling and hiking are 2 main attractions. We have some of the best hiking tracks in Fiji. The villagers will gladly guide you through the island, taking in some breathtaking scenery and introducing you to village life. Theres also sight seeing from a spectacular hill where you can watch the sunset over Yalobi Bay. We can also arrange hand line fishing from our boat or one of the boys will teach you net fishing. They can also teach you about local medicines and show you our plantation gardens where we grow vegetables and root crops.
