Attorney-General, Ministry for Justice, Electoral Reform & Anti-Corruption
The Attorney-General (AG) is the Minister responsible for the Office of the Attorney-General, Justice, Electoral Reform and Anti-Corruption Unit.
The Judicial Department is responsible for enhancing the quality of justice in the community by ensuring an effective and accessible Court System and as cornerstone of Justice; the court system will uphold the principles of equality, fairness and access while protecting the dignity and rights of all members of the community.
The Fiji Prisons Service is responsible for the safe, secure and humane treatment of persons in custody by providing opportunities to correct offending behaviour, develop work and life skills and perfom community service. They also work towards enhancing the quality of custodial responsibilities, improve inmate rehabilitation programs, develop human resources and modernize the service.
