President
The President of the Republic of the Fiji Islands is the Honourable Ratu Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda. Being the Head of State, he commands executive authority and symbolises unity of the state. As President he is also the Commander-in-Chief of the military forces. The President is assisted by Cabinet with the Prime Minister as Head of Government.

Interim Prime Minister
Fiji’s current interim Prime Minister is Commodore Voreqe (Frank) Bainimarama. He also controls the ministerial portfolios of Home Affairs, Immigration and Information.
The Prime Minister’s Office is split into three sections. The Private Office looks after the Prime Minister's daily official appointments and social engagements. The General Office is responsible for the management and administration of office as a whole. It also coordinates development support activities, including veting assistance requests from members of the general public. It also administers the Prime Minister's statutory responsibilities for Rotuma and Rabi.
The Cabinet Office functions as the Secretariat for Cabinet. It arranges Cabinet meetings, collates and distributes Cabinet records, and issues Cabinet decisions to appropriate Ministries to follow up.
